- FORUM time is here! Election time is upon us and we are hosting our Annual Election Forum for all candidates to come and meet with the people. We always encourage all candidates to briefly tell us a bit of their family heritage, but we strongly encourage them to tell us what their intentions are in running for office and what they would do if elected.
Our council believes we can offer a special service to all the Chickasaw citizens worldwide by videotaping the Forum and uploading it to YouTube. We did this last year for the first time. Glitches aside, we had good response from Chickasaws both nearby and abroad which has encouraged us to do this again. In addition, the candidates this year are supportive of this venture as it helps them get their message out to many whom they will not otherwise see.
All Chickasaws are invited to this meeting, bring your families and get involved!
The meeting will be held FRIDAY JUNE 17th at the First American Bank Conference Center in Purcell, OK {corner of Lester Ln. [aka 4th St.] and Apache St.} click here for map. We begin at 6:30 PM, there will be snacks and drinks - it's an ICE CREAM SOCIAL so be early. We encourage audience participation, so if you have questions for the candidates please ask them during the Q / A session.

- Some of you may be interested in learning to speak Chickasaw. Language classes will resume at the Area Office in the fall, specific dates to be announced.
